Lloyd Ulman's research
has focused on wage-setting institutions in the United States,
Japan, and Europe. As Director of the Center for Research
in International Labor and Industrial Relations, he is planning
a small interna-tional conference on union perspectives on
selected problems of importance in Germany, Japan, and the
U.S. In addition, he continues to co-direct the Bay Area Labor
Studies Conference with Kirsten Spalding of the Labor Center.
