IRLE and the US Department of Labor Co-Sponsor the 75th Anniversary of the Fair Labor Standards Act
On November 15, 2013, IRLE and the Wage and Hours Division of the US Department of Labor co-sponsored a gala event in recognition of the Fair Labor Standards Act. The event was held at the Department of Labor in Washington, DC. The event brought together leading commentators on the importance of FLSA, and a lively discussion was held.

2013 marks the 75th anniversary of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Join researchers, policy experts, advocates, and workers to discuss the past, present, and future of the FLSA, the American economy, and worker protections. We will explore what it means to have a good job that provides economic security, the changing nature of the employer-worker relationship, and trends in paid leave policy.
This event is a collaboration with the Institute for Research on Labor and Employment at the University of California, Berkeley.
